Twins: 9 months old!

P-ma helped me take the 3 girls to the doctor last week.  Here’s Maya with Lila having a sucker for being such a good girl while her sister’s got checked out.  Lila weighs 18 lbs and is 28 3/4in long and Ella weighs 15lbs and is 27 3/4in long.

Olivia turns 2!

We met up with the Amberson crew at Deanna Rose for Olivia’s birthday.  Grandma J and Lynn were in town and Uncle Bob and Bobby, Rhonda & Gabby were all there.

Mommy & Maya date

I took Maya to the Plaza for dinner and a carriage ride.  Here we are killing time waiting for our ride and visiting the fountains.

Trip to Council Bluffs, IA

We took the girls to Council Bluffs to meet the crew out there.  They had a really nice dinner for us and a lot of the family was able to come meet the girls.  Here’s Lila bonding with her Great Aunt Barb.

Father’s Day 2011

Father’s Day on Sunday was very relaxing.  We appreciated this since Friday night we had storms that caused major leaking in our master bedroom and then knocked the power out for over 15hrs or so.  Saturday was HOT!  We had family pictures to get ready for so I had to go to the neighbor’s to do my hair and makeup, when I tried to do it at home it started to melt off and the flat iron doesn’t work so well when there’s no power.

So on Sunday we wanted to take it easy.  Dustin and Maya did some work in the yard and then we got out the water toys for the kiddos to play in while we grilled out for dinner.  Below are the twins in their swim suits from Grandma J.

Happy Father’s Day!  It carries even more meaning the more children we add to the family!  We are so blessed to have you Dustin!

Twins update

The twins are 7 months old now.  They visited their doctor for their 6 month check-up and below are their stats.  Lila weighs 3lbs more than Ella.  I would attribute this to the amount Ella spits up.  She eats more than her sister, but is gaining at a slower rate, but she spits up something terrible.  They assure us this should stop soon and her weight should catch up.

Ella:  Height = 26 1/4in (55%), Weight = 12.13lbs (5%)

Lila:  Height = 26 3/4in (83%), Weight = 15.13lbs (50%)

The girls started on some baby food after their 6 month check-up and are really enjoying it.

Maya is a good helper and loves to feed them, but there’s usually an extra mess for mommy when she’s done.  But that’s ok, its nice to have help feeding babies!
