Ella & Lila playing while Mommy finds them some clothes to wear.

Atticus points to the computer and yells, “bike, bike!”  So we turn on his favorite bike video and Maya and Atticus snuggle and watch the video.

Twins: 1 year old!

Tuesday, November 15th, 2011

Dustin took the twins birthday off and we all took Maya to preschool and then headed to Le Peep for breakfast.  Here’s Ella using her big girl spoon.

Lila was a tired girl already and mama’s not looking much better.

After naps, Dustin & I took the girls to the play place at the mall.

Later that evening, P-Ma and Grandpere brought over dinner and dessert and gifts for the girls.  We had a nice time and the girls got more birthday cake.  They still weren’t that interested in it, which hopefully means they will take after their father and not their mother when it comes to a sweet tooth.

The next day we took them to the doctor for their 1 year checkup.  They are growing great and everything looks good.  The doctor promised me he does see teeth in there and they will come out soon.

Ella:  17.5lbs (5-10%) and 30in tall (75%)

Lila:  20lbs (30%) and 30 in tall (75%)

A few years ago I never would’ve believed it if someone told me I would have 3 beautiful girls.  Life is so crazy sometimes, you just never know how things will turn out.  We are blessed in every way.  Thank you Jesus for the gift of parenting these amazing little people. These 3 miracles remind me every day how good You are.

The twins turn 1!

Grandma J really outdid herself this time!  The cakes were beautiful and tasty!  We celebrated their birthday the weekend before they actually turn 1.  Pics of the real birthday to follow.

Lila, Maya & Ella

They didn’t go too crazy with their little cakes.  I think we were all hoping for more of a show, but the girls just took a few small bites and were done.  Hopefully that means they don’t take after their mom when it comes to loving sweets!

We did a terrible job taking pics of everyone at the party.  Grandma J, Lynn, and Uncle Brandon came down from Iowa for the weekend joined by lots of other family and friends.  Thank you to everyone who helped make their special day even better!
