Maya & I went shopping & she found a couple friends to help her pass the time.

Somebody loves strawberries.

The face when I tell Maya we’re not ready to go quite yet. All she wants to do is go outside and play with bubbles and look at the horses!

I had the best Mother’s Day. Dustin & Maya picked up some donuts and let me sleep in. Once I got up we sat on the couch and shared some breakfast. Apparently baby loves donuts too! If it looks like we were a little tired, lets just say we’ve had a few rough nights while baby tries to recover from an illness.

mmmm, donuts!

Dustin hooked up the trolley to his bike and we took a bike ride. It didn’t last too long because it started to rain on us, but Maya loved it.

Last weekend Aunt Brie & Uncle Corey hung out with Maya so we could meet up with a bunch of friends at the Parkville Brewfest. We had a blast, and it looks like we weren’t the only ones having a good day!

“More!”

We took Maya in for her 18 months check-up with her fabulous Pediatrician, Dr. Wichman. She did much better this time. Below are her stats:
Height: 33 3/4 in. (78%)
Weight: 25 lbs (50%)
Below is Maya on a car-ride holding her 2 brown babies. She’s so attached to them, she must know where they are at all times.

Pretty cool chick.

Playing outside with “BUBBLES!!” and her wagon and car.

My niece Kate had her 1st Communion today. Her Aunt Ronnie flew in from NY to be here and Uncle Bob & Patricia drove here from NE. Grandma Jacobsen came from Iowa but Uncle Brandon was sick and unable to come with her. Yesterday we tried to go to Griffin’s game, but it got rained out. We went back to the Ambersons house for dinner. Here’s Maya playing with the scary monkey and Katie.

Here’s Griffin & Dennis at Kate’s ceremony today.

Linda made beautiful cakes for the special occasion. Tasty too!

Changed into comfy clothes.

Maya loves to feed her piggy “monies”. There was a little incident during the last feeding. Poor piggy. M’s not allowed to walk with glass piggy’s filled with money anymore. Lesson learned.

Here’s a wooden piggy from Grandpa Ralph & Nana Karen that was up in Maya’s room. Its replacing the glass piggy in the kitchen.

There was a poop incident with Maya’s favorite brown baby doll so we headed to toys r us for a replacement. Maya fell in love with another baby and had to rip it out of the package immediately. Once we got home I decided I’d work a little harder to clean baby #1 up since we couldn’t find an exact replacement and after a bit of scrubbing she’s good as new. So now Maya is enjoying the both of them.

Rocking the babies.
It was daddy’s night to mow on Monday and Maya stood at the window and yelled until I took her out to “help”. Instead we played with the new bubbles from the Amberson’s and the new sidewalk chalk (Maya prefers garage chalk) while we watched daddy hard at work.

Then we followed daddy over to feed the horses the grass clippings.

Maya can now say quite a few words. Here are a few that come to mind that I hear over and over each day: horsey, bubble, baby, up, help, out, bye bye, Brie, Gramma, mommy, daddy, hi, cheese, juice, milk and many more. Its so much fun watching her learn and grow every day.
Who loves Maya?!!
