Monkey Business

Friday, March 20th, 2009

Wednesday Maya & I met Tamara & Keira at the Great Mall for some fun at Monkey Business.

Here’s a blurry picture of Tamara & Keira coming down the awesome slide.

The girls talked us into a carousel ride as well.

Maya got so revved up from Monkey Business she couldn’t get to sleep last night until late…and then she was up on and off the rest of the night!  I got her back to sleep this morning at 6:30 am for the last time, (thank God) and she slept until 10:45!  I told her I’d really prefer her to sleep at night rather than all day but I’m not sure she was too concerned with how I was feeling.  Here she is having a very late breakfast with her baby doll waiting for Aunt Brie to come over & play.

St. Patty’s Day!

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

Here’s Maya after bath and all ready for a big day of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with friends!

Here we are at the parade.

Daddy met up with us later in the afternoon for lunch.

Maya & Lilli had such a good time at the parade.  All the girls were really good.  We met up with Chris, Dawndy, Lilli & Baby Luna for the parade and lunch.  The weather was beautiful and it was a wonderful day all around.

Day trip to St. Jo

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

We went up to St. Jo on Monday to visit Nichole & Sylvie who’s 22 months old.  Here are the girls playing in Sylvie’s super nice play room.

We drove out to Savannah to see the land Nic & Chris bought to build a house on.  Its beautiful and hilly with lots of tree’s and is going to be so fun to visit when they’re settled in.

We went to DQ and took our blizzards to the park.  The girls had a blast and the weather was perfect.

Maya looking an awful lot like Auntie Brie!

Sylvie has the best toys!  A ball pit thingy and a horsey that acts real.

Silly monkey.

The girls played really well together, it was just a great day all around.  Mama’s got some time to catch up and babies got a lot of play time in.

Baby shower for Luna Belle

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

My mom and Sheena hosted a shower yesterday for my friend Dawndy to welcome baby Luna who arrived on Christmas Eve.  Here’s a pic of Brie, Lora, Mom holding Maya & Lilli, Dawndy & Baby Luna.

Sheena did a great job on baby duty, as always.

Awwhhh, sweet little family, all that’s missing is Daddy Chris!  But no boys allowed at the shower, which I’m sure he was quite upset about.  :o )

What to do on a cold, yucky day

Monday, March 16th, 2009

Go to the mall with Mommy & Aunt Brie!

Play with the kids in the mall play place!

Convince Mommy to take you on the horsey ride even when she has NO cash and has to use an ATM & pay more in ATM fees than the ride itself costs!

Happy Birthday Grandpere!

Monday, March 16th, 2009

We celebrated Grandpere’s b-day with him over at their house a couple weeks ago.  Here’s a pic of him, Grandma Rosie and Buddy.

Maya’s keeping an eye on her Uncle Corey.  She never knows what he’s gonna do next.  Something fun for sure.

Always, always, always begging to use their cell phones!

On March 5th Grandpa celebrated his birthday.  He’s still recovering from shoulder surgery so for now we just stopped by for a visit.  Maya likes to sit on Grandpa’s lap and take control of the remote.

Brave baby girl

Monday, March 9th, 2009

Maya had to have a sedated MRI last Friday.  Her right eyelid doesn’t close all the way and the peds eye dr. wanted to make sure there wasn’t anything going on in her head causing that to occur.  Her vision is perfect so the only issue is that she sleeps with one eye open and when she looks down one eyelid doesn’t look down with it.  The MRI was done at Children’s Mercy South and we had a wonderful nurse.  That’s such a great hospital, we are very lucky to have it so close.

Poor baby all hooked up and ready for the sleepy medicines.

Here’s baby girl after the MRI, she woke up w/o a problem and got a new puppy from the hospital for being so brave.  We went home and had lots of cuddles and naps the rest of the day.

The MRI came back normal! and now we’re looking into the next steps.
