The life of new parents

Last Friday night Maya’s cousin’s came over for a slumber party.  Griffin, Kate & Maya had a great time playing.  Here they are at the play-place at Chick-fil-A.

Grandma Jacobsen sent the kids Valentine’s gifts.  Here’s Maya opening her new outfit, she couldn’t stop hugging it and looking at it.  She carried it all over the house for quite some time.

On Valentine’s Day we went to Griffin’s basketball game.  Aunt Niki & Uncle Dennis gave Maya a backpack and book.  Here’s Maya sporting her new look.  Uncle Dennis has his hands full keeping baby happy during the game!

My Dad came over last week to spend the afternoon with us.  Luckily it was a nice day so we were able to take Maya in the back to look at the lama and the ducks.

Maya has been finding new and exciting things to do around the house.  Her most recent favorite is hiding in the top of the cabinet and getting herself stuck, she yells until someone comes to rescue her.

Last week it was nice enough to get some time outdoors.  Maya had a blast riding in her new wagon from Grandma Jacobsen to the neighborhood park.

The slide is always a big hit.

We went to our neighbors house for a superbowl party and our friends Justin, Tamara & Keira came with us.  Here are the girls in the wagon on our way to the party.  They were both very good and had a lot of fun playing with Olivia’s toys and all the other little kids at the party.

Uncle Lee & Auntie Kait came to town for Grandma Rosie’s Birthday.  Maya was helping Kait fix her hair.

If you’re ever over at our house watching Maya and she disappears, you might want to look in the cabinet, her new favorite hiding place.

Dustin & I celebrated our 8 year anniversary on Feb. 3rd.  Here are the tulips and balloons Maya & I picked out for him.  He got me beautiful roses and a huge Heart balloon, but I don’t know what happened to those pictures.  Aunt Niki watched Maya so we could go out to dinner and we had a nice time.

We took Maya to see Elmo Live and the Sprint Center.  She had a great time.  We went with our friends Chris & Dawndy and their daughters Lilli & Luna.

We took Maya to see Dr. Wichman for her 15 mo. checkup.  She screamed the entire time.  Here are her stats:

Height:  32 inches (90%)

Weight:  23.6 lbs (50%)

On Jan 31st Grandma Rosie celebrated her birthday.  We went to a movie and then to dinner at Smoke Stack and then back to our house for gifts and dessert.

Maya took apart one of her sippy cups and has had a ball playing with the little plastic ring.  She thinks its fun to wear as a bracelet or to chew on.
