The life of new parents

We went over to play at our neighbors house on Tuesday afternoon when it snowed so much.  Here’s Maya all decked out in her friend Emma’s snow gear.

When Emma’s daddy Daniel got home from work he took the girls out for some sledding down the little hill in between our houses.  Mama Janna and Baby Benjamin watched from the window.

Maya really enjoys receiving Christmas letters/cards with pics of her friends on there!  She read this one from the von Fintel’s for about 15 minutes.

Another fun day with Aunt/Nanny Brie!

Here’s Maya noticing snow for the first time. Very exciting, as the day went on she kept checking the window and watched as the snow finally accumulated a few inches on the ground.

Playing in the over drawer again.  This is her face when I tell her that’s not for babies and to get out.

Daddy left his suitcase out from his business trip…Maya found it and it and Aunt Brie said it kept her entertained for over an hour.

Maya’s 1st nanny Sara is now a nurse at Children’s Mercy South, so we don’t get to see her as much as we used to…but she still stops by from time to time and she watched Maya last night so I could finish up my Christmas shopping.  They had a great time.

Happy to spend time with an old friend.

Maya hadn’t spent her GC to Barnes and Noble from Carol for her birthday yet, so today we did some shopping and M picked out 2 books.  She is very excited about them.  They both have textures you can feel on them which she loves.  One is about a dog Biscuit during Christmas and the other is about some snow bears.  We’ve already read them many times.

Saturday Keira turned 1 year old!  Here’s mama Tamara and us at her party.

She got lots of cool gifts.  Maya was eying her new Elmo Live for sure!

Liam turned 1 on Friday and his b-day party was Saturday as well.  He’s already walking and had a very nice party as well.

Nichole & Sylvie came down from St. Jo last week to hang with us.  We did some shopping and then Dustin watched BOTH the girls so Nic & I could have an adult dinner.  It was wonderful!

We closed on our old house last week and are so relieved to be done!! Here we are on our last trip to the house clearing everything out.  Maya was a big help as you can imagine.
