Visit to see Grandma Jacobsen

Monday, September 29th, 2008

We spent the weekend in Tipton visiting Grandma Jacobsen.  We had a great time.  Maya enjoyed looking at the horses and the kitties and had the most fun climbing up and down Grandma’s stairs.  Saturday night we walked around the riverwalk in Muscatine and had dinner at The Button Factory.

M’s not the 1st baby to chew on this crib.  It was Grandma Jacobsen’s when she was a baby and all her kids used it, her sister’s kids used it and now her grandkids use it when they’re in town.

Grandma bought Maya a new toy that makes lots of noise and sings lots of songs and it was a big hit!

Bath time at Grandma’s!

Baby girl likes corn, she did quite a number on this by the time she was done.

She’s not sure how she feels about riding on the mower with daddy around Grandma’s yard, but after awhile she was having lots of fun.

Trip to St. Joe

We went up to visit the Kammerer’s in St. Joe last weekend.  Those girls are always looking out the window.

We walking around the park and looked at the geese and the other animals.

Sylvie did a good job sharing her toys with Maya.

Baby goes to wine country! (Part 1)

Dustin had a conference in San Francisco and we got to join him to celebrate my birthday. We spent the first day and a half downtown shopping and hanging out at daddy’s fancy hotel while he attended his conference before heading to Santa Rosa for the weekend. We had the best time and baby girl was so good.

Some light reading during a diaper change.

Korbel was beautiful. They had beautiful gardens and a nice cafe where we had lunch. Have you ever tasted cream sherry? If not, my best advise, DON’T! That stuff is awful. I guess I thought I was about to taste some champagne that tasted like creme soda, notsomuch.

Riding on daddy’s shoulders is always a good time.

We took a drive to the coast one morning before touring some wineries.

Baby goes to wine country! (Part 2)

Maya was very happy to have some quality daddy time. He left for San Diego on Monday and we met up with him Thursday in San Francisco, so it had been several days since she had spent time with him.

Nothing makes mama happier than her girl…and a quality latte.

We stayed in Santa Rosa and there were snoopy figures all over the town that Maya enjoyed looking at.

The views were breathtaking. Rows and rows of beautiful grapes.

Bye bye wine country!

Saturday night we went over to the Dudinsky’s for pizza.  Here’s Keira & Maya playing.

Maya loves her farm music toy.  She gets so excited when she can make it make noise.

Sunday evening we went to Lilli’s (my mom’s neighbor’s little girl) 2nd b-day party.   Here are the girls in their party hats.

Wichita again, this time with Daddy!

Saturday, September 6th, 2008

Mon-Wed we were in Wichita for my job.  Dustin came with us this time to watch baby at the hotel while I worked.  Here’s Maya at a pub in Wichita’s Old Towne showing off her 8 teeth.

We went swimming in the hotel pool with Maya’s new Mama & baby duckies.

It took some Starbucks to make it back home in the rain.

bad hair day, but it was raining…

Grandma Rosie took us out for breakfast for my b-day.  We went to Classic Cup on the Plaza and Maya enjoyed sitting outside and watching the birds play on the sidewalk.

Maya helped me open gifts from Grandma J.

Maya’s friend Eva turned 1 yesterday.  We went to the Deanna Rose Farmstead last week to celebrate.

Maya enjoyed looking at the animals.
