Here’s baby girl driving her little car around with Nanny/Auntie Kaitlin on Friday, getting all geared up for her trip to Des Moines to see Grandma Jacobsen and Uncle Brandon.

Here we all are having lunch downtown at Spaghetti Works.

M loves her Grandma!

Maya had her 1st haircut last week. Ms. Leslie did a good job. She gave Maya a toy to distract her while she made a few snips.

Yes, of course we saved some of the hair.

The final touches…

No more frizzies!
Head: 17 1/2 (50%)
Height: 29 1/2 in. (93%)
Weight: 22lbs (90%)

We had a great trip to the doctor this morning. Maya got 2 shots and a finger prick with no tears! Her height and weight have slowed down a bit (used to be in 95% for both). Her favorite part was playing with the noisy paper on the table.

We met Grandma Rosie for breakfast after the appointment. Maya had some banana’s, cantaloupe, quiche & pancakes. Well mostly she played with the food and mushed it into her pretty pink dress, but a little got in the belly!

Maya greeted the people who passed by on the sidewalk with a nice smile hoping they notice what a big girl she is standing up to play with the flowers.

We went to the old house to water the plants today, so Maya got to take a ride in her swing.

Maya and I had the best Wednesday I could ask for. She has been a snuggler all day long and just generally a happy girl. We went on several errands and played a lot today. It was one of those days that makes you feel all warm and tingly realizing that this is what its all about. These moments. She has grown so fast, I cannot believe its almost been a year. The best year of my life and I’m so so grateful for our amazing little family.
Saturday, Maya turned 9 months old! We go to the doctor on Wednesday and will post the stats then.
Saturday night we went to my friend Denise’s wedding at Club 1000. It was beautiful and fun to hang out with my bible study girlfriends.

From L to R: Jenny, Heather, Casey, Stephanie, Melanie, Noelle & Lora.
“Hey Ma! Give me something to chew on!”

“Hmmmm a lime! This is exciting! I think I’ll try a bite”

“I love it! I love limes! I’m going to drop this one on the floor and I’d like another please!” —Maya Mireille Jacobsen

Look at those teeth! Not so vampire-ish these days, now that the top front 2 teeth are poking through for a grand total of 6 teeth!
Here’s Maya helping me shop for bedding for our new bed.

Somebody doesn’t want to be a little Jayhawk! Uncle Lee & Kaitlin stopped by later that afternoon and after spotting the KU outfit from Nanny Katie went out and bought her 2 new MU t-shirts. Pics of those to follow soon.

Here’s Maya playing with her SD bear on our way home from Wichita last week. Grandma Rosie went with us.

We went to Stephanie’s house for the 4th to celebrate with some friends from our Friday play date group. From Left to Right is Keira, Eva, Maya & Liam (Stephanie’s son). We tried to get a good pic of the babies on the couch, but those never work out…

Maya’s future b-friend?

Pacifier snatcher

Snacks, attack!

We took another trip to see Aunt Brie. Here’s baby girl the day before getting excited about the trip.

On the plane ride. Maya got the 2nd best baby on the plane award on the way there and the #1 best baby on the very long ride home with lots of help from Kaitlin and Lee.

We hung out in Pacific Beach one day.

We all had Maya strapped to us at one point or another.
