The life of new parents

We had dinner at mom’s on Christmas Eve before heading to church and then to our house for dessert, gifts and some Monopoly. Even Buddy got dressed up for the occasion.

Maya got to spend a lot of quality time with her Great Aunt Kathy from Michigan. She told her Aunt a lot of stories and gave her plenty of smiles.

Grandma Jacobsen is coming to town this weekend and we’ll celebrate Christmas and New Year’s with her and the Amberson’s then. So be looking for part 3 pics of our Christmas gatherings next week!

Great Aunt Judy & Great Uncle Jim brought Maya’s stocking by on their way to Dallas for the holiday.

We spent the afternoon of Christmas day at Grandpa Ralph’s house. Here’s Maya with her Great Grandma Mom Mom. We’re so happy she was feeling good and able to join us and get to hold Maya for the first time.

Maya had her 2 month dr. appt. today. She’s gained a little over a pound this past month and has grown 2 inches.

Maya got to meet her Great Aunt Kathy today!

Maya loves to snuggle with daddy. She’s got a bit of a fever from her shots today and has spent most of the afternoon and evening sleeping it off like a little angel. Until now….its 11:30pm which might seem like a reasonable bedtime for an infant, but not our girl! She likes to crash for the night around 1 or 2 am. Here she is watching daddy clean up the kitchen after a long day of napping.

Tony & Kel sent Maya some gifts this week. She got this hat that Kel made and some cute hair barrettes.

Our friends James & Meg had a baby boy just over a week ago. Here are the proud daddy’s of baby Wren and baby Maya. Their going to be great friends, they already do their hair alike.

And by party, baby Maya meant sleep. She slept through almost the entire party at Barkley. We had a good time, but next year she’ll enjoy it even more. They had face painters, Santa and Mrs. Claus, puppet show, magic show, photo booth, rocket rides, food and much more. Barkley really caters their holiday party for kids and families and it was so much more fun this year with Maya!
