Princess Bed!

August 25th, 2010

Maya got an early birthday present this year.  She decided to move into the guest room so the twins could have her (bigger) room.  We painted it pink and she fell in love with this princess bed awhile back and Grandma J & P-ma & Grandpere went in on it for her.  Here’s her first look at her new room, she’s totally in love.  Such a blessed little girl.

Keria came over to check it out as well and then go for snocones.  They ended up having the same dress on, I got Maya’s at H&M in Chicago and Tamara got Keira’s at H&M in Las Vegas.  Funny that they ended up wearing them on the same day.

Olivia’s 1st birthday!

August 23rd, 2010

We went to the Amberson’s last weekend to celebrate Olivia’s 1st Birthday.  She was super happy and looked beautiful in her cupcake dress.

Dustin’s mom Linda made the cakes.  Perfect as always.

Babymoon 2010! (part 1)

August 18th, 2010

Dustin, Maya & I went to Sanibel Island, FL for a pre-twins Babymoon.  We had a great time.  Below is a pic of the view from our hotel room.

On our 1st night there we went exploring on the island and found a pretty deserted beach, the sky was beautiful at sunset.

We took a dinner cruise on the hotel’s Princess ship.

Girls trip 2010 (part 2)

On our last night at the lake we went for dinner at Backwater Jack’s.  We had great seats outside on the patio and listened to a live Reggae band while we had dinner.

Girls trip 2010 (part 1)

August 3rd, 2010

Lissa, Jo Ellen, Nichole and I took our annual girls trip this past weekend.  We stayed at the Tan-Tar-A Resort in the Lake of the Ozarks.  Not quite as fancy as our 1st trip to West Palm Beach, FL last summer, but it was nice not to have to fly anywhere.  It was very, very hot and the whole resort is on a hill so I didn’t have the easiest time getting around, but once we were in the water all was well.  We all missed our kiddos, but it sure was nice to get away for a relaxing weekend.

The view from our room.

On Sunday, we rented a boat for 4 hours.  This was my favorite part of the trip.  Jo Ellen was our Skipper and did a great job keeping us safe on the lake.

Wedding reception

July 30th, 2010

Maya’s previous Nanny Devan, got married earlier this month in Mexico.  They had their wedding reception at her parents place in Lawrence last weekend.  It was absolutely beautiful.  Maya had a great time.  She thinks getting married is the best thing ever because there is music to dance to, pretty dresses and cake.

Hugging the twins.  Baby girls are about 1 lb each right now, not sure that explains my 25 lb weight gain up to this point…

Ready for a run with daddy.  Got the cell phone in the pocket, ice water in the sippy and running shoes on.

Several weeks ago Maya went to her 1st Royals game with Grandpere & P-ma.  She came home with a new t-shirt and a pink Royals stuffed animal.

Baby Atticus is getting big.
